Milton Walker, 73, Dead At Orofino
Orofino, Jan. 16. - Milton LeRoy Walker, 73, was dound dead at his home here by a neighbor, George Hagrud, at about 11 a.m., today.
Hagrud notified Clearwater county Sheriff V. L. Holloway, who sent an ambulance to the Walker home. Coroner W. E. Gilbert set the time of death at about 12:45 a.m.
Mr. Walker had been ill about three weeks. Cause of death has not yet been learned.
He was born Sept. 10, 1878, at Hamburg, N. Y. He came to Ahsahka in 1902 with his brother, Tom Walker. They homesteaded at Ahsahka and Mr. Walker farmed there until his retirement ten years ago. Since then he had worked during the summer a saw-filer for the U.S. forest service at Pierce. During the last two years he had been unemployed.
His brother, Tom, of Ahsahka also retired, was a county commissioner for several terms. Other survivors include two brothers George, in Arizona, and Robert in New York; and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Mossiel, of New York.
The body is at Gilbert's funeral chapel. Committal arrangements are pending.
